Shabazz Ray (Writer/Director/Actor) is from Harlem, New York and comes from a family that’s always been involved in music, singing and dancing. He started out in musical theater. His first break was as Samuel L. Jackson's Stand-in and Photo double. He has since starred in the films "Zoolander", "Changing Lanes" and "Landline" with Jenny Slate, to name a few. He's also starred on Fox TV’s "Fringe", NBC's "Deception", Netflix's "Orange Is The New Black" and CBS’s “Person Of Interest.  "The Long Short" is written and produced by Shabazz Ray and is his feature film directorial debut. He also plays the role of J. Down in the film.
